Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)

I see.

So VM do have another AS that's in use and registered to them.

13076 is a single /24 used purely to wholesale transit. It is separate to make it easier to ensure that it doesn't use VM's peering. It's advertised to 2 transit providers only.

None of the others apart from 5089 are active.

Every morning after I switch on, I get "fail to connect" over and over again...

Stop switching your 'always on' Internet off at night. Problem solved :)

yeah good point, why do you do it dude? Routers aren't supposed to be switched on and off willy nilly and I can't imagine your are saving huge amounts in electricity.

I save electricity when and where I can, and it forces the kids to switch off their PCs and go to sleep.

Plus the Shub is in our bedroom, and I don't want to be dancing to disco lights all night long (those days are long gone).

Plus this is a fairly new fault, never had a problem before.

Virgin contacted me, they really want to come out and check my connection. Gave them the option for later this week.

Been monitoring my dads VM connection for the last couple of weeks and most nights it's like this.

New Shub (5ghz wifi was dead), new tail to my cable to the shub, isolator fitted, attenuator removed.

5Ghz wifi cannot be used for the twins' mobiles, turned it off, and now they can't connect at 2.4Ghz.

Very grassy-looking Think Broadband graph so far (once I'd remembered to change the IP and allow pings). :dunce:
